Supply Chain Manager - Hong Kong

Job Role

To efficiently and cost effectively control all far east imports into the UK through management of the Supply Chain and Quality Assurance Functions in the Hong Kong Office

Responsibilities

  • To create and manage shipment plan, ensuring all timelines are achieved
  • Timely information on exception management
  • Professional communication with vendors and UK
  • Accurately maintain shipping information and process documentation
  • Processing of orders placed in UK
  • Highlighting and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Reporting accurate info to relevant departments (eg. Merchandisers, Imports, Supply Chain)
  • Management and development of supply chain and quality assurance staff
  • Create a great working environment and facilitate teamworking.
  • Work closely with Product Development team and Buyers to highlight and resolve issues.

  • Efficient running of the Hong Kong Office

UK Links

  • Primary liaison with Imports Manager on:
    • Container shipping, ETA & Tracking 
    •  Information & Issues
  • Liaise with Merchandisers & Replenishment Manager on product scheduling
  • Liaise with UK Supply Chain Controller on day to day issues

Key Skills and Experience

  • Degree Graduate
  • 10 Years Logistics, Supply Chain or similar experience
  • Proven people management skills within similar environment
  • Leadership and Teamworking Skills
  • Experience of setting and managing departmental budgets.
  • Business process change experience
  • English, Chinese and Mandarin speaker.
